Filter replacement on the hearing aid
Modern hearing aids have an external speaker. In other words, a thin cable with a small loudspeaker is attached to the hearing aid (see illustration below). This is placed in the ear canal with the help of a silicone cap or an ear piece. This can lead to small blockages due to ear wax on the cap and the loudspeaker. Under the cap there is a small filter (looks like a small white sieve), which can be replaced.
Got down here We have provided you with a video from Signia (formerly Siemens) for instructions, the principle is the same for all manufacturers: you put the stick (with a new easy-change filter on it) on the old, clogged one and insert the new one with the other side of the pen Filter on!
When replacing the filter, it is important to ensure that the filter is inserted completely and straight. Furthermore, we ask you (when you put the cap back on) to make sure that it is completely seated on the loudspeaker! It is better to check twice, then the hearing aid can be used again. Please do not hesitate to contact us, we will advise you comprehensively!
We at Andreas Holz Hörakustik are also there for you between the years and are open. Only on December 24th, December 31st and the official holidays we allow ourselves a little breather.
We wish you a pleasant Christmas season and a good start into the new year!
